Muslim College Worship ‘Prayer Rooms’
The Muslim college has two places of worship ‘Prayer Rooms’ located on the basement floor near the canteen. One room for the men and the other for the women, with semi wall partition. Each room is fully facilitated with prayers mats, Holy Qur’an (for recitation) and the latest timetable for the Islamic prayer. Separate wudu (ablution) facilities are also available for men and women.
The place of worship is to be respected and all members who wish to use are instructed to a) take their shoes off before they enter, b) no food or drink allowed inside c) switch off mobile phones and keep noise levels to an absolute minimum.
The members of staff and students, hold congregational prayers for the zuhur prayer (salah) from Monday to Thursday. All students, staff and visitors are welcome to use the prayer halls for salah (prayer), dhikr (remembrance of Allah), dua (supplication to God) and tilawat (recitation of the Holy Qur’an).
