Principal Dr Elhassan Musa

‘Read: In the Name of your Lord who created.’ [96:1-5]

Dr Elhassan Musa is a senior expert in economic development, and financial management, with 40 years of experience across academic, parliamentary, and international institutions.

He holds a PhD in Educational Administration and workforce Strategy from the University of Liverpool, UK, along with both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in educational planning and administration from the University of Benghazi, Libya.

Dr Elhassan Musa has held a number of senior academic and administrative positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Ajdabya at the University of Benghazi, Libya, Academic Attaché at the Libyan Embassy in London, and is currently Principal of the Faculty of the Muslim College in London. He has also served as a consultant to financial services institutions and national planning councils.

In addition to his academic and administrative roles, Dr Musa was a member of the Libyan National Transitional Council (2011) and has been a faculty member at the National Authority for Scientific Research (2019).

His contributions to policy-making, education, and economic development have made a significant impact on Libya’s academic and institutional framework.

Dr Musa is also the Secretary-General of the Libyan National Commission for Education, Culture and Science and a member of the Executive Council of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Executive Council of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), reflecting his commitment to global education and cultural development.

As Principal of the Muslim College in London, Dr Musa leads the institution’s academic vision and strategic development. His work continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of education and capacity building in both national and international contexts.
