Principal Dr Mosa Albezi

Dr. Mosa Alblezi holds a significant academic background in Islamic studies and Shariah law. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Shari’ah from al-Asmarya University in Libya and pursued further studies, earning a Master’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of al-Zawiya in Libya. Dr. Alblezi’s educational journey continued as he completed his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from Trinity Saint David, University of Wales in 2014.
Dr. Alblezi is deeply committed to serving the Muslim community in the United Kingdom. He is an active member of the Muslim Law and Shariah Council UK and also contributes to the Hounslow Masjid. His dedication lies in fostering peace and reconciliation among Muslim families, providing support for their well-being in this world and the hereafter.
Having grown up in Libya, Dr. Alblezi received a comprehensive Islamic education, becoming a hafiz (memorizer) of the entire Quran at a young age. He further honed his recitation skills, displaying his mastery of the Holy Quran. Additionally, he received training in all four schools of Islamic Jurisprudence under the guidance of traditional scholars.
Dr. Alblezi began his teaching career at Shaykh Abdus-Salam al-Asmar school in Zliten, Libya, where he shared his knowledge and expertise as a young educator. Subsequently, he served as a lecturer at the Department of Shari’ah at al-Asmarya University and eventually rose to the position of Head of the Department of Shari’ah at the same institution.
In 2008, Dr. Alblezi’s journey led him to the United Kingdom, where he completed his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies in 2014 from Trinity Saint David, University of Wales. He has dedicated almost 13 years to serving the British Muslim community. Presently, he holds the position of Principal of the Muslim College in London, contributing to the institution’s mission and objectives.
