Principal Dr Mosa Alblezi

Dr. Mosa Alblezi is the Principal of the Muslim College in London, United Kingdom. As a youth, Dr. Mosa Alblezi studied at Zaweyat Al-Asmari in Lybia where he received a comprehensive education in the sacred sciences. This included the study of jurisprudence, legal theory, syntax, language, rhetoric, Quranic exegesis, and its auxiliary sciences, as well as the science of Prophetic tradition. During his studies, he obtained an Ijazah, a certification, in various Islamic disciplines, including the Maliki Fiqh. Additionally, he demonstrated exceptional dedication to his religious education by memorizing the Quran at a young age. Prior to his current position as the Director of the Muslim College in London, since 2015 he served as an Assistant Professor at the Muslim College, London. Before joining the Muslim College, Dr. Alblezi taught at Shaykh Abdus-Salam al-Asmar School in Zliten and later became a lecturer and the Head of the Department of Shari’ah at al-Asmarya University. Dr. Alblezi holds a B.A. degree in Shari’ah from al-Asmarya University and a Master’s in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of al-Zawiya in Libya. In 2014, he completed his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from Trinity Saint David, University of Wales.n addition to his academic and religious education, Dr. Mosa Alblezi has furthered his knowledge in the field of Islamic Finance and Banking by completing several courses. He has also actively participated in workshops both in the United Kingdom and internationally. Dr. Alblezi has made significant contributions to the field of Islamic studies through his published work. He has authored multiple articles that have been featured in various international journals. Furthermore, he co-authored the book titled ‘Imām al-Juwaynī’s Lumaʾ al-Adillah; The Luminous Proofs’ in 2021. His involvement in Quranic Studies is noteworthy, as he has been a member of various publishing projects in this field. Additionally, Dr. Alblezi has authored two books specifically related to Islamic Law, showcasing his expertise and scholarly contributions in this area as well.
